Reel to Reel Festival at Kings Mountain
Thursday, July 21st, 2011Local Film Festival Delivers
We attended the local reel to reel film festival being held at Joy Performance Center in King’s Mountain. It was opening night and the festival was well-attended.
Enjoying a local wine called Niagra, we settled in for an amusing short called Fully Poseable followed by a longer film on the Boys of Bonneville Salt Flats, and Ab Jenkins in particular.
After the break, another short called Hitomi played and a documentary on a revolutionary educational program being conducted inside Sing Sing Prison.
Delightful night. We bid on a few baskets and also were delighted to see that folks were bidding on our own “Movie Night” Basket. We did it with a Clint Eastwood Theme and featured one of Neva’s decopaged tiles with movie trivia from Clint Eastwood classics.
